Barbara is an American executive speaker coach, pitch coach, senior TEDx speaker coach, professional speaker and author based in The Netherlands. Through her company Successful Speaker Now, Barbara coaches male and female speakers to tell their stories with impact and influence.

She is the founder of this program and will be your trainer, coach and biggest cheerleader to become an excellent communicator through one-on-one coaching, mentoring, masterclasses and other activities.

Barbara moved to Europe at the age of 24 to open a sales office for her Wahington DC based medical publishing company as the European Channel Manager. She rose through the years in sales to become a global account manager for pharma, dealing with million dollar accounts. After a severe burnout, she recovered and started her executive speaker coaching company called Successful Speaker Now that she operates now for 10 years. 

After a brief period as a Deloitte Director Pursuit Coach, Barbara returned to her own company to use her talents and passion to be of service to a wider community. As a result of the pandemic, she has created a program called Virtually Speaking Coach to help speakers deal with the challenges of virtual presenting and pitching. 

Her entertaining and insightful book Boring to Brilliant! A Speaker's Guide reflects the more than 100 TEDx speakers she has coached and the knowledge she has gained from meeting and helping these amazing people who have ideas worth sharing.
